Highlights

Barrows average temperature was -9.7°F, 6.0°F warmer than normal and temperatures reached 7.0°F on the 3rd, 16th and 18th, and  -43°F on the 28th.  Precipitation recorded this month was 0.38”, 0.26” above normal for February and a new precipitation record was set on the 19th of 0.15” breaking the old record of 0.09” set in 2006.  Snowfall totaled 7.9”, which was 6.0” above the 1971-2000 average, and set a new snowfall record on the 19th of 3.0”, breaking the previous record of 2.4” set in 2009.   12.8 inches of snow was on the ground at the end of the month.
