Barrow had a mean monthly temperature of -10.6°F this December, 2.8°F below the normal of -7.8°F normal. The highest temperature for the month occurred on the 17^th at 17°F, while the lowest, -36°F, occurred on the 25^th, Christmas day.

Despite the slightly lower than normal snowfall, on the 17^th 1.3" of snow was recorded, breaking the record for that day of 1.1" set back in 1923.
