August’s mean monthly temperature for Barrow was 39.7°F, 0.7°F above normal. The highest temperature for the month was 64°F on the 27^th, which also set a record for that day, breaking the old 1929 record by 1°F. The lowest temperature was 30°F on both the 4^th and 19^th.
