Highlights

June’s mean monthly temperature in Nome was recorded as 47.4°F, just 0.4°F under the long-term mean of 47.8°F. The lowest temperature for the month was 30°F occurring on the 11th, while the highest was a nice 79°F on the 19th.

Precipitation was lighter than normal, with 0.66" measured, 67% of the normal amount. Trace snowfall was recorded just on the 8th, while 0.3” is the long-term normal. The average wind speed was 9.6 mph while the greatest wind speed was 39 mph occurring on the 3rd, blowing from a northeasterly direction.
