Highlights

Kodiak had a mean monthly temperature of 28.2°F in January, 2.3°F below normal. The highest temperature for the month was 44°F on the 1st, while the lowest was 7°F on both the 17th and 22nd.

Precipitation was just 36% of normal, with 2.95” measured and 8.29” normally expected. Snowfall was just over half of normal with 7.4” recorded and 13.0” expected. The average wind speed was 9.8 mph while the highest wind speed was 50 mph from a northwesterly direction occurring on both the 5th and the 15th.
