Kodiak's mean monthly temperature for April was 40.0°F, 2.4°F above the long-term mean of 37.6°F normal. The highest temperature for the month was 58°F on the 28th, and a lowest temperature of 23°F on the 12th.

Precipitation was incredibly light for the month with a mere 0.69" of precipitation, just 12% of the 5.81" normally expected. Snowfall was also lighter than normal, with 4.4" of snow measured, or 55% of normal. The average wind speed was 11.6 mph, with a highest wind speed of 50 mph on the 17th blowing from an easterly direction.
