King Salmon October 2014


October for King Salmon was colder than normal with a monthly mean temperature of 32.0°F observed, 1.5°F below normal. The highest temperature for the month was 58°F on the 1st, while the coldest was 10°F on the 30th.

A mere 18% of the expected precipitation was recorded for the month, with just 0.38" observed compared to the expected 2.08". Snowfall, however, was above normal with 3.5" observed, 0.7" above normal. The greatest wind speed for the month was 32 mph blowing from a southeasterly direction on the 27th, while the mean wind speed was 8.9 mph.
