The warm temperatures set two records; on the 15th 79°F was observed, breaking the old daily record of 72°F set in 2007. Then on the 18th, the observed 81°F broke the 1962 record by 1°F. The 18th was the warmest recorded temperature for the month, while the coldest was on the 7th, when a chilly 33°F observed. This was the second warmest June on record for King Salmon.
Precipitation was only 64% of the expected amount, with 1.05" recorded. However, on the 30th, 0.75" fell, breaking the record for this day set in 1982 by 0.40". The average wind speed was 9.1 mph, while the greatest wind speed was 43 mph, on the 30th, blowing from a southeasterly direction.
