Ketchikan’s temperature was near normal this March, with a mean monthly value of 37.0°F observed, a mere 0.8°F below normal. The warmest temperature recoded for the month was 55°F on the 30^th, while the coldest was 10°F on the 4^th. 

Precipitation was 149% of the normal amount of 10.89", with 16.21" recorded. Part of this high total was the 2.14" recorded on the 15^th, breaking the 1972 record of 1.90", as well as more significantly, the 5.20" that fell on the 11^th, shattering the 1994 record of 1.99".
