Highlights

The January mean monthly temperature for Ketchikan was 40.2°F, 5.3°F above normal. The highest temperature for the month was 52°F on the 26th, while the lowest was 23°F on the 6th. On the 25th a high temperature of 51°Fwas recorded, breaking the old record for that day, set in 1998, by 1°F.

Precipitation was higher than normal with 16.48" observed, and 15.40" expected. Contributing to this was the 3.84" that fell on the 25th, which shattered the old record for that day of 1.85", set back in 2011.
