Juneau's monthly mean temperature for October was recorded at 43.8°F, just 1.4°F above the normal of 42.4°F. The warmest temperature for the month was 55°F occurring on both the 9th and 13th. On the 17th, a high of 54°F was observed, breaking the 1980 record for that day by 1°F. The lowest temperature for the month was 28°F on the 2nd.

86% of the expected precipitation fell, with 7.46" of observed. While 0.8" of snowfall was expected, no measurable amount of snowfall was observed for the month. The mean wind speed was 7.1 mph, while the greatest wind speed was on the 5th, from a southeasterly direction, at 51 mph.
