Highlights

June’s mean monthly temperature in Juneau was 51.8°F, 3.2°F above normal. The highest temperature for the month was 79°F on the 13th, setting a record for that day, breaking the old 1942 record by 4°F. Two other daily high records were set: on the 14th the 77°F observed broke the 1942 record of 74°F, and on the 15th the 75°F observed broke the 1993 record by 2°F. The lowest temperature for the month was 37°F on the 11th.

Precipitation was 167% of normal, with 5.67” measured and 3.40” expected. A daily record rainfall was recorded on the 6th with 1.56", breaking the 1965 record of 1.10". The average wind speed was 7.1 mph while the highest wind speed was 42 mph on the 17th blowing from a southeasterly direction.
