September’s mean monthly temperature in Fairbanks was 46.2°F, 1.3°F above normal. The highest temperature for the month was 70°F on the 3^rd while the lowest was 26°F on the 30^th.

Precipitation was heavier than normal, nearly double, with 2.08” measured and 1.10” expected. Trace amounts of snowfall were also measured, while 1.8” is normal. The average wind speed was 4.6 mph while the highest wind speed was 30 mph on the 12^th and 13^th from a southwesterly direction and on the 28^th from a westerly direction.
