Anchorage had a mean monthly temperature of 58.3°F this June, 3.1°F above the long term normal. The highest temperature for the month was 78°F occurring on the 16^th. The lowest temperature for the month was 42°F on the 7^th. This was the third warmest June on record after 2015 and 2013.

Precipitation was above normal, with 1.78” measured and 0.97” expected. The precipitation total of 1.03" on the 6^th set a new daily record, breaking the old record of 0.73" set in 1988. The highest wind speed was 46 mph from a southeasterly direction on the 19^th, while the average wind speed was 8.0 mph.
