Anchorage experienced in December 2010 below normal temperatures. During the first week and towards the end of the month some days recorded above normal temperatures. Especially remarkable was the last day of the month with a maximum temperature of 38°F, while the minimum was observed on 24 December with -7°F. The monthly mean was calculated to 10.5°F, 7.0°F below the long term mean. There were 10 days of precipitation of at least 1/100-inch water-equivalent, the monthly sum being 0.87", 0.18" below the long term mean. Most of the precipitation fell on the 29th, 30th and 31st with a total of 0.36" water-equivalent for those three days.
