September 29, 2022: over the past week, the sea ice has continued to increase by a greater rate from last week of 5.69%, from the level on 09/22/2022 of 4.836 M km2 to 5.128 M km2 for this week, and so we are now solidly (no pun intended) in the sea ice growth season.  The negative sea ice anomaly this week was greater

September 22, 2022: over the past week, the sea ice has now increased by a rate from last week of 3.70%, from the level on 09/15/2022 of4.657 M km2 to 4.836 M km2 for this week.  It turns out that the sea ice bottomed out only one day after last week’s report on 09/16/2022 with the final minimum sea ice extent level of 4.650 M km2);

September 15, 2022: Over the past week, the sea ice has now decreased by a bit of a higher rate from last week of 4.00%, from the level on 09/08/2022 of4.851 M km2 to 4.657 M km2 for this week.   We should be close to bottoming out for the year and at this point we are still just below the 2021 sea ice
