September 8, 2022: Over the past week, the sea ice has now decreased by a lower rate from last week of 3.48%, from the level on 09/01/2022 of 5.026 M km2 to 4.851 M km2 for this week.  Perhaps the slow-up of the past couple of weeks is a harbinger that we are really close to bottoming out for the year.

The negative sea ice anomaly this week was lower from the anomaly of -1.225 M km2 on 08/04/2022 to a less negative anomaly of -1.044 M

August 4, 2022: Over the past week, the sea ice has now decreased by a lower rate from last week of 6.31%, from the level on 07/28/2022 of 7.064 M km2 to 6.618 M km2 for this week.  The negative sea ice anomaly this week was lower from the anomaly of -1.292 M km2 on 07/28/2022 to a less negative anomaly of -1.225 M

July 28, 2022: Over the past week, the sea ice has now decreased by a higher rate from last week of 10.91%, from the level on 07/21/2022 of 7.929 M km2 to 7.064 M km2 for this week.  The negative sea ice anomaly this week was lower from the anomaly of -0.993 M km2 on 07/21/2022 to a more negative anomaly of -1.292 M
