Arctic Sea Ice Extent May 14, 2020

May 14, 2020: Over the past 2 weeks the sea ice has decreased by 7.48% from the level on 4/23/2020, over three times the decreasing rate of the previous 2-week period, of 13.548 M km2 to 12.535 M km2 for this week. The new blue line for 2020 is now about even with the levels in 2017 (magenta line).
