Arctic Sea Ice Extent March 26, 2020

March 26, 2020: Over the past 2 weeks the sea ice has now decreased by 3.89% from the level on 3/12/2020 of 15.022M km2 to 14.437 M km2 for this week. The new blue line for 2020 is now about even with the 2016 level (red line). The turnaround transition date from sea ice increase season to sea ice decrease season occurred on March 16th.
