Arctic Sea Ice Extent 2-28-2019

February 28, 2019: This week the sea ice has decreased by 1.13%; from last week's level of 14.727 M km2 to 14.560 M km2 for this week; and so we have now turned around and are on the decrease and at about the extent of ice as in 2017 (magenta line). Last year's decrease did not start until the second week in March.
