Updated Arctic Sea Ice

October 17, 2019: this week the sea ice has increased by another 10.35% from the amount from the two weeks ago level of 4.818 M km2 to 5.374 M km2 for this week. However, the 2019 sea ice extent line (gold) has now dipped below the all-time record lows for this time of year, set during seasons of 2012 (green line) and 2018 (orange line).
