Updated Arctic Sea Ice

August 22, 2019: this week the sea ice has decreased at a slightly lower level by 5.95 % from the level of 4.921 M km2 to 4.628 M km2 for this week. The sea ice loss has slowed just a bit and the 2019 sea ice extent line (gold) continues to diverge above the all-time low level in 2012 (green line) with about another month left in the sea ice loss season
