Updated Arctic Sea Ice

March 26, 2020: Over the past 2 weeks the sea ice has now decreased by 3.89% from the level on 3/12/2020 of 15.022M km2 to 14.437 M km2 for this week. The new blue line for 2020 is now about even with the 2016 level (red line). The turnaround transition date from sea ice increase season to sea ice decrease season initially took place on March 13th, but then there was a bit of an increase, so the final transition date occurred on March 16th.
